Hello, I'm a UI Artist based in Leamington Spa. I've got 4 years of experience working on AAA games for PC and console platforms, starting from pre-production.
  • Ubisoft - From Junior to Intermediate, I have created menus, HUDs, Vignettes and icons for both front-end and in-game screens.
  • GeoFossils - Freelance work, doing motion graphics, packaging, pamphlet design and social media posts.
  • Achievements:
  • Education:
  • Graphic Communication and Illustration BA - Loughborough University, First-Class Honours
  • Foundation Diploma in Art & Design - Andover College, Distinction
I have worked on wireframes, icons, layouts and motion graphics for menus and HUDs.

I extensively utilise Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects, alongside some Figma. I've improved pipelines & workflows, created UI kit parts, and assisted with the UI style guide establishing various ingredients. I've also implemented UI within the game engine, collaborating with GPP and TAs. With strong communication & presentation skills, I have inducted new team members, conducted workshops and participated in studio knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Knowledge & Skills

Visual Design

I possess a deep understanding of typography, layout, colour, and contrast, which I utilise to create UI mockups for front-end menus and in-game HUDs.

Motion Graphics

I have a deep knowledge of After Effects and have produced complex animations that use expressions and controllers, allowing fast iterations.

Iconography

Using Adobe Illustrator and my design and illustration skills, I have helped produce a suite of icons, establishing the visual language and hierarchy of the games iconography.

Accessibility & UX

I have a keen interest in accessibility for games. I regularly watch GAconf to deepen my understanding of these topics and to influence my future designs.

UI Implementation

Using my knowledge of the game engine, I have implemented UI into the game. I have prepared files, collaborated with GPP and TA, and fixed bugs.

Automation & Workflows

Knowing JavaScript has, in turn, provided me with surface-level skills for scripting in both ActionScript for Adobe Animate and ExtendScript for creating plugins and scripts.

My Interests & Hobbies

Fencing

While at Loughborough University, I played for the men's 2nd BUCS team, specialising in épée. I have also taken part in other fencing competitions around the country.

Guitar and piano

I've always loved music, both listening to and playing. I've been playing the guitar and piano since primary school. I never studied grades, but I know enough to teach myself the music I want to play.

Retro games

My favourite game is Super Monkey Ball on the Gamecube. I love arcade-style games that are simple to learn but hard to master. I'm always playing on my PS1 or sometimes Amiga 1200.

Bouldering

I love bouldering despite not being the best and quite a scaredy-cat when high up. I frequently go bouldering with other game devs, as it's the perfect blend of social and fitness.
